BAROQUE BENEFIT CONCERT INFORMATION!
Each year the Beaver Island Cultural Arts Association kicks off the Baroque on Beaver Music Festival with a unique weekend of benefit performances. Here’s how we’ll begin Baroque’s 17th anniversary season:
Friday July 27, 7:30pm
Guitarist Matthew Cochran, hailed for his “commanding stage presence and intimate expression” (Soundboard), joins Baroque on Beaver for the first of two Festival performances. Don’t miss this wonderful evening of solo guitar classics. Matt will also welcome Beaver Island’s own Martha Guth as a special guest.

Saturday July 28, 7:30pm
Bay City’s own Kevin Cole, “America’s Pianist”, makes his Baroque on Beaver debut. Known as the foremost interpreter of George Gershwin’s music, the Chicago Tribune notes: “When Cole sits down at the piano, you would swear Gershwin himself was at work… Cole stands as the best Gershwin pianist in America today.” Mr. Cole has appeared as soloist with: the Los Angeles Philharmonic; National Symphony; Hong Kong Philharmonic; San Francisco Symphony; Chicago Symphony; Philadelphia Orchestra; Philharmonia Orchestra; Minnesota Orchestra; Pittsburgh Symphony; Dallas Symphony; Seattle Symphony; New Zealand Symphony; and will join the Festival Orchestra for the Festival’s finale concert.
Please join us for this solo recital on our newly-acquired Mason & Hamlin grand piano.
Both Gala evenings are open to the public. Included in the ticket price are complimentary wines and hors d’oeuvres, which will be offered each night prior to gala performances. Doors open at 6:30pm; performances begin at 7:30pm.
Due to limited seating and high demand, BICAA recommends that you purchase tickets early.
To enjoy our complimentary alcoholic beverages, you must be at least 21 years of age.
